Probation

Unlock Drama CIC extends its rehabilitative theatre practice into probation services and Approved Premises, supporting individuals who are rebuilding their lives post-custody or serving community sentences.

Our theatre-led rehabilitation projects develop essential life skills: communication, emotional regulation, self-confidence, and pro-social thinking. Through drama-based exploration of triggers, consequences of actions, victim awareness, and restorative justice, we promote self-awareness, empathy, and sustainable rehabilitation.

We address critical reintegration challenges such as substance misuse recovery, mental health awareness, and violence reduction, helping participants strengthen resilience and reconnect positively with their communities. Unlock Drama’s trauma-informed, creative approach provides purposeful engagement opportunities that align with education, training, and employment pathways.

By easing pressures on probation and Approved Premises staff through effective group interventions, we contribute to better outcomes, supporting the wider goal of reducing reoffending and building safer communities.
